Hercules (or Heracles in Greek) was a legendary hero in ancient Greek mythology. He was the son of Zeus, the king of the gods, and a mortal woman named Alcmene. Hercules was known for his incredible strength, courage, and accomplishments.
He was famous for completing the "Twelve Labors" set by King Eurystheus, which included tasks such as:

12. Capturing and bringing back Cerberus (the three-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld)
Hercules was also known for his kindness, generosity, and protection of the innocent. He was worshiped as a god after his death and remained a popular figure in Western culture, inspiring countless works of art, literature, and film.
In Roman mythology, Hercules was known as Hercules Romanus, and his stories and exploits were adopted and adapted from Greek mythology.
